Save a life today!

Are you finding yourself a bit eco-overwhelmed this holiday season? With 2022 coming to a close and so many worthy causes to support, it can be overwhelming where to start and if your donation will even make a difference...

What if I told you that you could SAVE ONE LIFE today?

Together, we are making a difference!

And that by saving that one life, more lives will be saved in the future? And what if you told one friend or family member about your gift and encouraged them to make one too? Can you imagine how many wild birds’ lives we could save together this giving season?

Wild bird populations are in widespread decline, including right here in the Ottawa Valley! In fact, in North America, we have lost roughly 3 billion birds in the last 50 years. One of the species at risk is the beautiful Evening Grosbeak.

Since 2020, the Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Care Centre, has provided emergency care to 11 Evening Grosbeaks - 4 of which were successfully released back to the wild. Fast forward to 2030, it is estimated that more than 2,500 birds will be further contributing to their species survival!

And it's all thanks to generous people like you, that this magnitude of impact is even possible. By SAVING ONE BIRD TODAY, you will be saving over 640 wild birds, that otherwise wouldn't have survived without your help, 10 YEARS FROM NOW!

Urgent action is needed today because wild birds cannot speak or act for themselves…
we must do it for them!

Today, I invite you to become a wild bird champion. Your gift today can leave a lasting impact for many years to come.

In 2022, our bird-loving community helped us invest in training, skills development, new equipment and critical supplies to improve our standard of care which is making a big difference! In one year alone, we increased survival rates by 9%. And we have never been more efficient and effective reducing the number of days spent in captivity by 7%. For high stress birds, like the Evening Grosbeak, this can make the difference between life and death! This gives us great hope for the future, but we know we can’t do this important work alone - wild birds need your help today!

In order to maintain and further improve survival rates and quality of care, we need to act together so we can help even more wild birds thrive in the Ottawa Valley and beyond. We believe that by working together with our supporters and wild bird champions, we are giving birds a critical second chance at life back in the wild because each life saved is a small victory for its species and for our environment upon which we all depend.

Thank you for your continued support, and warm wishes for the holiday season and the new year!
